Senior Research Associate (Sample Management Genentech Onsite)
We are looking for a selfmotivated candidate to join the Evotec team. This person will be an active member of the team in a stateoftheart core facility for high throughput preparation storage and distribution of biologic samples such as DNA RNA and proteins to support research and drug discovery efforts onsite at Genentech in South San Francisco. The successful candidate will be expected to participate actively in protein and plasmid DNA sample management registration preparation distribution workflows and have strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills in order to work effectively with teammates and stakeholders.
Who You Are
You have a bachelors degree with 2 years relevant industry experience or masters degree with one or more years of relevant industry experience in molecular biology biochemistry or other related discipline. Prior experience with protein sample management & QC techniques standard molecular biology techniques such as plasmid DNA preparation sequencing sequence analysis and standard nucleic acid analytical/QC methods is desired. Experience with automatic liquid handling analytical techniques and/or experience with Titian Mosaic or other Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) are also desired. Successful candidates must have the following attributes: team player agile and open to change be highly organized selfmotivated with strong analytical and communication skills. Must have a demonstrated track record of ability and initiative to work independently in a collaborative teamoriented setting in line with the vision/mission of the group.
Responsibilities:
Adapting scientific knowledge to resolve problems encountered in achieving defined goals with support from line manager or other team members where to meet internal and project deadlines.
Review and follow laboratory procedures and policies for operating functions of the laboratory.
Ensuring the conduction of safe working practices.
Protein sample management activities(Sample registration & data entry aliquoting aseptic handling techniques QC).
Standard molecular biology techniques Plasmid DNA preparation sequencing sequence analysisstandard nucleic acid analytical/QC methods analytical techniques).
Optional but not : experience with Titian Mosaic or other Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) systems.
The ability to independently manage and resolve technical problems.
To provide support to colleagues where necessary with regard to equipment or technical requirements for projects being carried out.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $68640to $95000; Base salary offered may vary depending on the individuals skills experience and competitive market value.
