Maintenance Electrician 2nd Shift
Job/Pay Type: Regular Fulltime hourly.
JOB SUMMARY:
Performs work to troubleshoot electrical systems (e.g. PLCs VFD and PWM Drives servo motors and related systems) understand schematics and blueprints troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems replace or fix components and conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure that electrical/mechanical systems function smoothly and efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoot repair maintain and upgrade electrical systems within the plant including programmable controllers PLCs and Allen Bradley Mitsubishi and Fanuc equipment.
Receives wiring diagrams drawings specifications and instructions covering scheduled and emergency repair installation and inspection work to be done.
Repair equipment/components sometimes without wiring diagrams drawings specifications and/or instructions when required.
Plans & performs work requiring knowledge of electrical and electronic theory & principles wiring specifications codes properties of various materials and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
Analyze circuits wiring diagrams drawings specifications and instructions for scheduled and emergency repairs.
Installing repairing modifying preventative maintenance and simplifying or adjusting electrical units electronic controls components and related wiring.
Adhere to all safety regulations and report hazards that may compromise a safe workplace.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS EDUCATION AND ABILITIES:
At least two 2 years of experience in the trade working with industrial automation or a degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or a related field.
Must be able to work overtime on Saturdays every other week if needed.
Experience in Industrial Automation including robotics preferably Fanuc and/or Motoman (or similar)
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and drawings (light Electrical Mechanical Hydraulic and Pneumatic)
Experience with electrical and electronic tools and gauges.
Knowledge of hand tools drill press lathe and mill electric drills Welding (Mig) pipe threading machine acetylene torch soldering iron etc.
General manufacturing experience.
Knowledge of electrical tools combination squares precision measuring equipment electronic test equipment and various other tools common to this trade.
Experience with Microsoft Office.
Able to sit kneel squat or bend for long lengths of time.
Able to walk and/or stand for extended periods.
Lift up to 50 lbs. if necessary.
Ability to read write and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
Able to operate manlifts set up and climb ladders.
Able to grasp and manipulate small objects such as screws rivets wire terminals etc.
