Technical Writer / Technical Author LMS

Job Summary:
Client Company Name is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Writer & Instructional Designer to join our dynamic global training team. In this critical role you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of training and documentation from initial needs analysis to the creation delivery and evaluation of engaging and effective learning experiences. You will leverage your expertise in technical writing and instructional design principles to develop highquality content across various modalities ensuring our users can effectively utilize our macOS iOS and iPad products as well as proprietary and thirdparty applications. You will possess a keen eye for detail a passion for creating userfriendly materials and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
EndtoEnd Training/Documentation Lifecycle: Understand and manage the complete lifecycle of training and documentation projects including analyzing training needs designing learning objectives developing content facilitating delivery (where applicable) and evaluating the effectiveness of training materials.
MultiModal Content Creation: Demonstrate the ability to write and develop content across a wide range of learning and development modalities including:
Live Classes: InstructorLed Training (ILT) and Virtual InstructorLed Training (vILT) materials (e.g. presentations facilitator guides activities).
Online Content: eLearning modules SelfGuided Training (SGT) and engaging video content (scripting storyboarding visual design).
Knowledge Base: Clear and concise documentation FAQs and other knowledge resources.
Tool Proficiency: Stay uptodate with the latest releases of relevant tools applications and industry best practices to effectively create and deliver content. Be able to answer questions related to the developed content.
Apple Ecosystem Expertise: Develop comprehensive content specifically for macOS iOS and iPad operating systems and related applications.
Content Creation Tool Utilization: Utilize a variety of tools to create engaging and effective content including but not limited to editing software Learning Management Systems (LMS)/Content Management Systems (CMS) and content authoring tools/software.
InPerson and Distance Learning Materials: Create training materials designed for both inperson and remote audiences including InstructorLed Content and interactive webbased content such as instructional/informational videos and selfpaced courses. This includes managing preproduction production and postproduction processes for video content.
Application Training: Develop deliver (if required) review and create content on various proprietary and thirdparty applications adapting the modality to the specific learning objectives and audience.
UserCentric Design: Deliver thoughtfully designed work that maximizes ease of use and accessibility for a diverse range of audiences while maintaining the Clients commitment to clean and aesthetically pleasing interfaces and materials.
Authoring Tool Expertise: Utilize and possess strong working knowledge of authoring tools such as Storyline Final Cut ScreenFlow Adobe Captivate 2022 Camtasia or other relevant Online Content Tools for the direction and implementation of project work for testing and production. (Note: The Client will provide the specific software chosen for project work).
Compliance and Security: Adhere to all Client security and compliance rules throughout the content development process.
Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other content developers across different modalities to ensure consistent and cohesive training offerings.
Global Team Support: Support the global training team by assisting with training material reviews asset management and various regional projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Technical Writing Instructional Design Education Communications or a related field.
Specify number years of experience in technical writing and instructional design preferably within a technologydriven environment.
Proven ability to understand the entire training and documentation lifecycle.
Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in creating highquality training materials across various modalities (ILT vILT eLearning SGT Video).
Demonstrated experience developing content for macOS iOS and iPad platforms.
Proficiency in using LMS/CMS platforms for content management and delivery.
Handson experience with content authoring tools such as Storyline Final Cut ScreenFlow Adobe Captivate Camtasia or similar online content development tools.
Excellent writing editing and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.
Strong visual design skills and the ability to create engaging and aesthetically pleasing learning materials.
Experience with video production processes (preproduction production postproduction) is highly desirable.
Excellent communication collaboration and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Experience working in a global team environment is a plus.
