Position Description:The Student Leadership Coordinator is a 12month position that plays a vital role in fostering leadership development opportunities for students helping to cultivate an inclusive dynamic and engaged student body. The Coordinator is responsible for planning implementing and evaluating student leadership programs and initiatives that support students academic social and personal growth. This position collaborates with various campus departments faculty and student organizations to create a robust student leadership position will report to the Dean of Students.
Key responsibilities: - Oversight for all student leadership positions in Student Government Social Service Clubs and other organizations that desire to be officially recognized by the university.
- Direct oversight of the Student Government Association and its annual budget.
- Direct oversight of the Social Club system and its many leaders.
- Coordinate welcoming and start of school year events.
- Serve as a mentor for students and liaison between students and the university.
- Develop and implement new initiatives that improve the student experience at OC.
- Coordinate and promote events put on by the student organization.
- Work with the Student Success office to help with academic support.
- Be present and active on campus including evening hours.
- Support and help all activities within Student Life.
- Be present at chapel when it is offered.
- Look for opportunities better to include any underrepresented group in our campus organizations.
Qualifications: - Verbal communication with students faculty and staff both with individuals and in large group settings

- College graduate
