Position Summary
Are you a motivated and detailoriented individual looking to kickstart your career in accounting Join our dynamic team as a Junior Accountant! This entrylevel position is perfect for recent college graduates or those with foundational experience already working in accounting. As a Junior Accountant youll play a crucial role in processing daily financial transactions maintaining accurate financial records preparing ad hoc financial reports and assisting with monthend quarterly and yearend closing processes. Essential Functions:
- Supporting the monthly and quarterly financial reporting cycle ensuring it is completed in a timely accurate and efficient manner in accordance with GAAP and ASSA ABLOY Accounting Guidelines.
- Preparing analyzing and posting journals.
- Calculating posting and analyzing monthly accruals and prepayments.
- Preparing and analyzing balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
- Reviewing and reconciling all intercompany accounts involving communication with other ASSA ABLOY companies.
- Preparing variance analysis.
- Assisting with or leading other ad hoc projects as required.
- Supporting internal and external audits.
- Providing input and assisting with implementation of new and existing processes and systems to ensure efficient delivery of valueadd information to both internal and external stakeholders
- Being an effective team player who will drive efficiency and continuous improvement throughout the department.
- Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards policies and procedures
- Expected Office Hours: MondayFriday 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Evenings and weekends as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications For Success:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or business administration with an emphasis in accounting (Required)
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to independently think and take action based on stated policies and/or accounting principles
- Ambition energy and drive to continuously improve processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
