The Multidomain Solutions Division (MDS) within the Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a skilled Development Manager to join a new cyber security program and play a key role in supporting governmentcritical systems. You will be part of a program that oversees development integration delivery and operations and maintenance of IT managed security services which encompasses support to monitor the cybersecurity threat and security posture situational awareness for the enterprise. This opportunity is in anticipation of a future contract award!
What youll be doing:
- Lead and enhance the programs cybersecurity posture.
- Apply deep understanding of cybersecurity principles application security and software development practices.
- Oversee the secure development lifecycle (SDLC) and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify mitigate and prevent security threats.
- Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity developers engineers and analysts.
- Define security development goals monitor progress and ensure high standards of security in all development activities.
- Foster a culture of security awareness across development teams.
- Oversee and ensure the implementation of security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain secure coding guidelines ensuring compliance with industry standards such as OWASP NIST and ISO 27001.
- Integrate security tools and processes into pipelines to identify and remediate vulnerabilities efficiently.
- Conduct threat modeling vulnerability assessments and risk analysis for applications and systems.
- Collaborate with developers to design and implement secure architectures and microservices.
- Drive the adoption of secure coding practices and penetration testing across projects.
- Collaborate with incident response teams to analyze investigate and respond to security incidents.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans ensuring rapid identification containment and resolution of security breaches.
- Ensure compliance with security standards regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Maintain thorough documentation of security controls and conduct regular security audits.
- Stay up to date with evolving security technologies trends and threat landscapes.
- Continuously refine and improve security practices identifying areas for automation and optimization.
- Duties also include project and program management responsible for planning organizing securing and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific program goals and objectives.
- Ensure all programs run within scope time and budget constraints
- Responsible for projects or processes spanning multiple professional areas.
- Coach review and delegate work to lower level professionals.
- Work with and communicates with external parties (subcontractors vendors etc) to influence project/team leaders regarding solution design processes and approaches.
What does Leidos need from me
- Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance required. Must be U.S. Citizen.
- Bachelors degree and 8 to 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 to 10 years of prior relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of secure coding practices security frameworks and application security principles.
- Handson experience with programming languages and modern software development practices.
- Proficiency with security tools and vulnerability management platforms.
- Proven experience managing technical teams fostering growth and driving performance.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to nontechnical audiences.
Favorable if you have:
- CISSP CISM OSCP or CEH certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS Azure or GCP) and container security.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies and integrating security in CI/CD pipelines.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $89700.00 $162150.00
