Provide evaluation treatment planning & individual sessions based on clinical evaluations of targeted populations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Interviewing new patients
2. Assess and treat patients
3. Establish positive trusting rapport with patients
4. Create individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances
5. Meet with patients regularly to provide counseling treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary
6. Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress
7. Involve and advise family members when appropriate
8. Referring clients to specialists if necessary
9. Contact rehabilitation centers or human service agencies
10. Scheduling and managing appointments
11. Consult with Clinical Director on cases which outstretch areas of own clinical competence
12. Consult with Compliance Director on issues of compliance
13. Help with clinical activities
14. Perform other jobrelated duties as assigned

COMPETENCIES:
High School Diploma or GED
Vocational School or some college courses
Associates Degree Trade or Technical School
Bachelors Degree
Masters Degree
Doctoral Degree
QUALIFICATIONS TRAINING SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
(a) Each outpatient therapist shall meet the following qualifications:
a. Will have to meet the criteria for being a Mental health Professional according to 5200.3 of the PA code.
b. Trained in a generally recognized clinical discipline including psychiatry social work psychology or nursing or rehabilitation or activity therapies.
i. If the clinical discipline is not one of the above then documentation proving the clinical nature of the degree is required.
c. Current licensure in this Commonwealth in a generally recognized mental health discipline.
d. Mental health clinical experience
(b) Each outpatient therapist requires original clearances with no convictions that would prohibit hire under the Child Protective Services Law. These include:
a. PA Child Abuse Clearance
b. State Police criminal background check
c. Federal criminal history background check

The position is based out of surrounding area school districts and the Slatington office.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
No supervisory responsibility
Provides guidance leadership or training to other employees (no direct supervision)
Directly responsible for supervising nonexempt clerical or office administrative personnel
Directly responsible for supervising exempt professional or technical employees
Directly responsible for supervising supervisory/managerial employees
TRAINING:
All NDTC required trainings must be completed in a timely manner and kept current to maintain employment. Trainings include but are not limited to the following:

CLEARANCES: All background checks and clearances required by NDTC must be obtained prior to start of employment.
