Education
BS in Physical Therapy
Experience
None required.
2 yrs related experience preferred
Skills
- Knowledge of physical therapy theories practices and standards
- Skill in oral and written communication

- Ability to set priorities and schedule patients utilizing time efficiently.
- Ability to evaluate patient function develop treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
- Ability to manage an average caseload of up to 3 patients per hour.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Licensures Certifications
Current Maryland license as a Physical Therapist.
Healthcare Provider (CPR Certification).
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluates the patients functional status including:
- Review of medical history diagnosis and physicians prescription.
- Observation and interview of patient/caregiver.
- Application of appropriate assessment procedures.
- Determines short and long-term goals with patient/caregiver input; establishes plan of care based upon goals and evaluation results.
- Implements appropriate therapeutic interventions progressing treatment plan and teaching patients/caregivers activities to reinforce therapeutic interventions providing/fitting appropriate assistive devices and recognizing patient distress signals which need follow-up
- Documents evaluations/re-evaluations treatment plans progress notes and discharge summaries; records data required for statistics billing and quality improvement activities as appropriate.
- Helps patient accomplish treatment plan by administering manual therapy interventions where appropriate using equipment as necessary.
- Utilizes the assistance of Physical Therapist Assistants Rehab Techs and volunteers as appropriate; provides supervision to the above as required by regulations.
- Communicates with multidisciplinary team members both formally and informally discussing evaluation findings patient progress and other pertinent information.
- Communicates with patients/caregivers to allay anxieties seek input and elicit cooperation.
- Participates in performance improvement activities collecting data and suggesting areas for improvement.
- Completes necessary continuing education requirements for licensing purposes.
Physical Requirements
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for up to seventy-five percent (75%) of work time when administering treatments observing patients and maintaining records.
Working Conditions
Normal patient care environment with little exposure to excessive noise dust temperatures and the like
Conditions of Employment
Current Maryland license as a Physical Therapist.

Pay Range
$72782.10 - $123729.56Final salary offer will be based on the candidates qualifications education experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
