As a Licensed Practical Nurse heres a bigpicture view of what youll do:
- Care for patients with a variety of illnesses injuries and diseases in facilities such as medical offices assisted living facilities hospitals and schools.
- Work with a team of professionals to deliver excellent patient care.
- Take patient vitals do assessments document progress and report changes.
- Assist RNs in carrying out orders patient care and prescribed treatment.
- Administer medication operate medical equipment and maintain a safe environment.
A few musthaves for Licensed Practical Nurses:
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and active LPN license.
- Minimum of 2 years LPN experience preferred.
- CPR and other required certifications.
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated clinical proficiency critical thinking skills good communicator and compassionate.
