Job Description

ESY Academic Instructors Summer 25

Summer Program: July 7 2025 August 14 2025

3 days (Tue Thurs) available for hours between 9:00AM 12:00PM (flexible)

Qualifications:

  • Massachusetts licensure in special education required.
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of specially designed instruction in one or more areas (e.g. Reading Math ELA Wilson LIPS Orton Gillingham) as an inclusion special education teacher or as a special education teacher of a substantially separate program.
  • Such other alternatives as the Director of Student Services may deem acceptable and appropriate.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as teacher providing direct individual and / or small group instruction to students with special needs in accordance with their IEPs.
  • Work in concert with other special needs staff related services providers specialists and administrative personnel to develop and implement viable extended year programming for special education students.
  • Complete progress reports behavior support plans communication logs data sheets and other data as required by local state and federal guidelines.
  • Participate in staff meetings as needed providing updates and advice to the team including parents and guardians.
  • Work collaboratively with the ESY Coordinator and colleagues to provide effective student support.
  • Such other responsibilities may from time to time be assigned by the Director of Student Services and the Extended School Year Coordinator.

Salary: In accordance with FEA contract
