The Regional Recovery Services Administrator oversees substance use disorder recovery programs within a designated region of Ohios correctional facilities. Reporting to the Assistant Chief/Operations Manager this role involves planning directing and evaluating recovery services to ensure compliance with state federal and internal policies.

The most important duties of the Regional Recovery Services Administrator include:

  • Program Oversight & Compliance Plan direct and evaluate recovery services programs to ensure compliance with state federal and internal policies.
  • Implementation of EvidenceBased Practices (EBP) Identify and assist with the implementation of best practices in substance use disorder treatment.
  • Policy & Procedure Development Develop policies related to substance use disorder care for incarcerated individuals.
  • Staff Supervision & Management Oversee staff scheduling approve leave conduct performance reviews and handle disciplinary actions.
  • Audits & Quality Assurance Conduct inspections and audits to ensure adherence to recovery services standards.
  • Technical Assistance & Consultation Provide support and guidance to institutional staff regarding program operations.
  • Reentry & Community Engagement Participate in reentry planning and collaborate with community partners for continuity of care.
  • Case Review & Clinical Support Review complex cases and provide clinical coverage as allowed by licensure.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Liaison Serve as a point of contact between ODRC OhioMHAS community organizations and other agencies.
  • Complaint Investigation & Resolution Address and respond to inquiries from the Governors Office legislators offenders and the public.

These responsibilities ensure that recovery services are effective compliant and supportive of incarcerated individuals rehabilitation and reentry.

This is an hourly position and is exempt from the bargaining units with a pay range of#on theE1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (Flexible Schedule). This position covers the following institutions: Allen Oakwood Correctional Institution Grafton Correctional Institution Lorain Correctional Institution Mansfield Correctional Institution Richland Correctional Institution and Toledo Correctional Institution.

This position is unclassified per O.R.C. 5120.382 and O.R.C. 124.11 (A) 9.

Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) by Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.

Or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) by Ohio Counselor Social Work Marriage & Family Therapy Board.

Or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) by Ohio Counselor Social Work Marriage & Family Therapy Board.

Or Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT) by the Ohio Counselor Social Work Marriage & Family Therapy Board.

Or Licensed Registered Nurse with certificate of authority as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Certified Nurse Practitioner with specialty certification in Mental Health or Psychiatry as issued by Ohio Board of Nursing . And in addition to licensure must have 12 mos. exp. providing clinical supervision in behavioral healthcare services (e.g. counseling group services crisis intervention) & 12 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques.

Or 12 mos. exp. as Behavioral Healthcare Provider Supervisor 1 65835.
