Job Description
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with malignancies.
- Plan and perform oncological surgeries based on individual patient needs.
- Maintain detailed documentation of surgical procedures and patient progress.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create personalized treatment plans.
- Provide postoperative care and monitor patient recovery.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment options.
- Stay updated on latest advancements in oncological surgery.
- Participate in clinical research and trials to enhance treatment outcomes.
- Train and mentor junior surgical staff or residents.
- Manage and supervise surgical teams during procedures.
- Conduct regular patient followups to assess recovery and address concerns.
- Involve in community outreach programs to raise cancer awareness.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Analyze surgical outcomes to improve techniques and protocols.
- Maintain an ethical approach in all patient interactions and treatment decisions.
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
- MCH in Surgical Oncology or equivalent from a reputable university.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in oncological surgeries.
- Board certification in surgical oncology preferred.
- Proficiency in advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques.
- Strong understanding of cancer pathophysiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a highpressure environment.
- Experience in leading surgical teams.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and medical software.
- Commitment to continuous medical education and professional development.
- Ability to build rapport with patients and families.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Residency training in oncology surgery is an asset.
- Active involvement in oncology societies or associations is desirable.
