Position Summary:
The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist. This role requires compassion precision and the ability to operate complex equipment in a patientcentered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment.
- Accurately position patients for treatment and ensure safety throughout procedures.
- Maintain detailed treatment records and ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver the highest standard of care.
- Monitor patient reactions and provide support as needed throughout the course of treatment.
Qualifications:
- Associates or bachelors degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy.
- Current Florida state license or eligibility to obtain.
- Minimum of 2 year of clinical experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
