About the Role
As an Account Manager you will be responsible for the direct management of Service Stream labour force and subcontractors to deliver the companys obligations under specific contracts for customers. This will include managing directing planning organising coordinating monitoring and reporting on all work activities to ensure all project technical specifications program quality environmental safety and commercial requirements and people
management objectives are achieved.
The role will require you to provide leadership and control of all design interfaces and procurement construction completion and maintenance activities with authority and responsibility to establish and accomplish the agreed time cost and quality objectives for the project. Controls all client and authority liaison quality employee relations safety
and training initiatives project planning and monitoring and the coordination of all project resources.
You will be able to meet or hold the accreditation of Project Management Complex Competency (PMC) on the AusNet Distribution Network.

Key responsibilities
- Provide leadership and management of the project team
- Lead the resolution and compliance of significant issues including safety industrial commercial and delivery challenges
- Leading the development of a positive energetic and unified workforce culture that stimulates optimum project/business and stakeholder outcomes
- Coordination of all authority interfaces
- Primary liaison with management and functional support resources
- Establishment and implementation of all project employee/industrial relations safety and other site policies and procedures
- Establishment monitoring and update of all project plans budgets programs and resource requirements
- Coordination and preparation of Monthly reports
- Understand the safety and environmental policies and communicate any updates to employees consultants and subcontractors. Ensure all activities carried out by the project teams comply with the project specific plans
- Monitor all works to meet customer completion dates
- Monitor the labour workforce to maximise productivity
- Ensure that plant and equipment is fully utilised and maintained by all field staff
- Oversee all customer applications and ensure that all operational procedures are followed in the planning and completion of the works
- Participate and understand commercial requirements in contracts
- Oversee customer documentation as required to complete jobs
- Manage invoicing to customers promptly for works completed and put a focus on follow up of late payments
- Engage and manage subcontractors / suppliers to complement Service Streams own internal workforce
- Ensure that subcontractor/suppliers apply suitable HSEQ management systems in the completion of their works
- Undertake field audits to ensure that customer works are being completed in accordance with the contract and Service Streamss works standards
- Review the status of works activities on a regular basis to ensure that they are completed on time; develop contingency plans and implement corrective actions to deal with performance deviation
- Ensure changes and/or variations are controlled including making claims under contract where relevant
- Ensure adequate measures are established for the protection of commercially sensitive information
- Ensure compliance to Legislation Service Streams policies and procedures and Client contract requirements
Experience required
- Have 5 years industry experience or 3 years supervised by a PMC in the Australian electricity supply industry. Demonstrated competency / experience managing major electrical projects within the last 5 years
- Previous experience in the electrical distribution transmission or telecommunications fields
- Experience in managing project teams (including subcontractors)
- Experience with a unionised labour intensive projectbased environment
- Significant project or works management experience in a contracting organisationor project based business or similar with a proven ability to operate in a dynamic live operational environment and to meet program hurdles.
Qualifications required
- Certificate IV in Project Management or
- Be eligible for membership of the Australian Institute of Project Management or
- Be eligible for membership of Engineers Australia or
- Have recognised training to satisfy the principles of Project Management as defined in ANSI 99001 PMBOK Guide and
- Have 5 years industry experience or 3 years supervised by a PMC in the Australian electricity supply industry. Demonstrated competency / experience managing major electrical projects within the last 5 years and
- For Project Management Accreditation on AusNet Electricity Network current VESI training for all mandatory training in line with the Technical Officer/Maintenance Worker role with certificates uploaded into the ESI Workers System.
Competencies required
- Hold a current construction induction card
- Valid drivers license
