Parttime adjunct faculty pool in Literature and Creative Writing to fill opportunities on a coursebycourse basis as need arises.JOB DESCRIPTION
The Humanities and Arts Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is regularly seeking parttime adjunct faculty to teachLiterature and Creative Writingcourses.The Literaturefaculty teach introductory coursesintermediate thematic surveys andadvancedtopic seminarsand haveparticular interestsinAmerican(including African American and Chicana/o)EnglishandWorldliteratures; poetry;andAmerican and Global cinema. The Creative Writing Program offers introduction intermediate and advancedseminarsin fiction creative nonfictionandpoetry.
We are looking for outstanding scholars but successful candidates mustalsodemonstrate teaching excellence and versatility as well as an abilityto jumpintoanexisting curriculum with creative and critical pedagogical approaches.A successful candidate should hold a PhD inEnglish Comparative Literature or Modern Languages and Literaturesor an MFA in creative writing.
