Department
Public Health Chair-OPSCompensation
The Department of Public Health is seeking to hire adjunct faculty. Adjunct faculty are hired on a semester-by-semester basis as needed and are non-tenure earning.
Position responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Serve as part-time faculty bringing in expertise in their field and incorporating relevant real-life examples into the curriculum.
- Teach assigned course(s) in accordance with the approved syllabus and course schedule.
- Hold scheduled office hours with frequency and modality as negotiated with the acting program director and department chair.
- Create administer and grade assessments and use Canvas to deliver course content.
- Answer questions and provide additional support for student
Working Hours: Part-Time
Work Schedule: Varies
Supervision Exercised: this is not a supervisory role.
Required Licensure: N/A
Anticipated start date: The position is expected to being on August 4 2025.
Compensation: Adjunct faculty are paid a minimum of $1000 per credit hour.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in computer software usage and Microsoft Office products (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook OneDrive)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Public Health or closely related field from an accredited institution.
- An earned doctorate in Public Health or closely related field.
- Experience in a Learning Management System (LMS) platform particularly the Canvas LMS.
- Previous experience teaching at a higher education institution.

About the Department:
The Department of Public Healthoffers a Bachelor of Science in Health (B.S.H.)with a Public Health concentration. It also offers a Master of Public Health with either a concentration in Epidemiologyor Social & Behavioral Science a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and certificates in Animal Assisted Therapy in Counseling Applied Public Health & Medical Education Research Global Health Mental Health Sexology and Public Health.
