Extended School Year Preschool Special Education Teacher
Reports To: ESY CoordinatorDanvers Public Schools is seeking an Extended School Year Preschool Special Education Teacher for the ESY program. This is a nonbenefited parttime seasonal position for the 2025 summer. This is a MondaythroughThursday program running from July 7 2025 to August 7 2025Position Overview:
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Preschool Special Education Teacher to join our team during the Extended School Year Program (ESY) for students with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of early childhood development and special education strategies to support children with diverse learning needs. As a Preschool Special Education Teacher you will work with young children ages 35 who require individualized instruction and support helping them to thrive in an inclusive classroom setting. Your role will involve designing and implementing developmentally appropriate learning experiences tailored to each childs unique needs fostering a positive and supportive environment for their social emotional and cognitive growth.Key Responsibilities:
Create and implement tailored lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles and abilities including those with developmental delays autism spectrum disorders learning disabilities and other special needs.Provide direct oneonone or small group instruction in a supportive and nurturing manner.Utilize positive behavior support strategies and techniques to manage classroom behavior and support children in developing social and emotional skills.Maintain a safe and structured classroom environment ensuring that childrens individual needs are met and respected.Document and track student progress including completing progress reports at the end of the extended school year program.Additional Information:
