Job Description
Staff Management Group is seeking a Machine Operator for our client in Monroe Township NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.
Schedule:
- 1st Shift: 8AM 5PM (Monday Friday) or...
- 2nd Shift: 3:30PM 12AM (Monday Friday) or...
- 3rd Shift: 10PM 6AM (Sunday Monday with 2nd shift on one day)
- Plus Overtime
Pay Rate:
- $18 $19 / hour
Job Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating various powered industrial equipment (P.I.E. such as cherry pickers sitdown/standup forklifts reach trucks and turret trucks. This position supports warehouse operations through order picking packing inventory management and shipping preparation while ensuring a safe and efficient workflow across multiple shifts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive and process pick tickets to locate merchandise based on catalog number size color and quantity.
- Operate and maintain various types of powered industrial equipment (P.I.E. including cherry picker reach truck and turret.
- Pack weigh and label orders accurately for shipment.
- Conduct preinspections of equipment and drive at controlled speeds to ensure safe handling.
- Assist in putaway of incoming inventory cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Collaborate with team members to stage offload and organize products on pallets.
- Transport completed orders to the designated shipping area.
- Maintain clean organized work areas and follow safety protocols.
- Build positive and professional relationships in a diverse and collaborative environment
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma GED or equivalent required.
- Prior experience operating P.I.E. equipment is a plus (training provided).
- Must have the ability to work independently and adapt to varied tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work respectfully and effectively in a culturally diverse team environment.
