Position Overview
Prica Global Enterprises Inc. (PGE) is looking for an experienced and energetic General Accounting Administrator to join our accounting team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager this position plays an integral role in the monthly accounting cycle proactively supporting Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Payroll Treasury and General Accounting. The successful candidate will bring an enthusiastic mindset and proven experience working in a fastpaced environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to posting of A/P invoices and vendor data review posting vendor and tenant payments monthly journal entries and account reconciliations payroll entry and review banking administration for cash payments transfers and tax remittances.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review code and post A/P invoices ensuring accuracy and appropriate approvals
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc journal entries
- Monitoring bank balances and initiating cash transfers as required to fund payments
- Assist with bank reconciliations and other monthly close activities such as subledger maintenance and G/L adjusting entries
- Manage vendor records and other master data to ensure integrity and accuracy
- Review and post payroll entries on a biweekly basis
- Other duties (as assigned) may include:
- Assist Finance with documentation of processes and policies
- Provide support and be backup for Accounts Receivable Administrator and Accounts Payable Accountant
- Other duties may be assigned as required
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience preferably within a real estate development and/or property management business
- Postsecondary education in accounting
- Proficiency in Excel
- Excellent grasp of accounting fundamentals: debits and credits subledger to G/L reconciliation intercompany transactions etc.
- Exceptional attention to detail and committed to a high degree of accuracy. Must be able to gather prioritize and analyze information skillfully
