Job Description

About the Role:


Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure that plant equipment machinery and facilities operate safely efficiently and in compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.

Implement and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability and performance.

Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance the efficiency sustainability and operational lifespan of plant equipment.


Key Responsibilities may include:

  • Develop and manage a robust preventive maintenance program to ensure timely and effective maintenance reducing equipment downtime and improving overall plant efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations actively enforcing corporate Zero Harm policies and conducting regular safety checks on equipment and building services.
  • Implement process reliability systems and lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at achieving equipment reliability and efficiency targets.
  • Manage the procurement inventory and budget control of spare parts and consumables ensuring effective stock management to support maintenance activities.
  • Lead and support capital expenditure projects related to equipment upgrades new installations and plant improvements ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and optimize the use of utilities such as electricity gas and water identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
  • Ensure plant compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards through regular safety audits equipment testing and asset management processes.
  • Lead mentor and develop the maintenance team ensuring adequate staffing training and performance management to meet the operational needs of the plant.

  • Assurer le respect des rglements en matire de sant et de scurit en appliquant activement les politiques zro prjudice de lentreprise et en effectuant des contrles de scurit rguliers sur lquipement et les services du btiment.
  • Mettre en uvre des systmes de fiabilit des processus et diriger des initiatives damlioration continue visant atteindre les objectifs de fiabilit et defficacit des quipements.
  • Grer lapprovisionnement linventaire et le contrle budgtaire des pices de rechange et des consommables en assurant une gestion efficace des stocks pour soutenir les activits de maintenance.
  • Diriger et soutenir les projets de dpenses en immobilisations lis la mise niveau de lquipement aux nouvelles installations et lamlioration des usines en veillant ce que les projets soient achevs temps et dans les limites du budget.
  • Surveiller et optimiser lutilisation des services publics tels que llectricit le gaz et leau en identifiant les possibilits damliorer lefficacit et de rduire les cots dexploitation.
  • Assurer la conformit de lusine aux exigences rglementaires et aux normes de lentreprise au moyen de vrifications de scurit rgulires de tests dquipement et de processus de gestion des actifs.
  • Diriger encadrer et perfectionner lquipe de maintenance en veillant ce que le personnel la formation et la gestion du rendement soient adquats pour rpondre aux besoins oprationnels de la centrale.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Maintenance Millwright / Industrial Electrician with People management experience will also be considered
  • Preferred College diploma/Degree in industrial Electrical or Mechanical field

Experience

  • Minimum 35 years of Supervisory experience or a licensed skills trades person
  • And/ Or Minimum of 2 years in a maintenance leadership role.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Work organization and planning
  • Management of contractors
  • Management of spare parts
  • Understanding of local and federal requirements (CSA ESA TSSA OSHA)
  • CMMS proficiency
  • Review & prioritize work orders PM programs Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement
  • Coordinate with CHEP Project& Engineering team External contractors and vendors
  • Ability to execute standard maintenance tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to reliably execute work according to standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Ability to analyze equipment issues and recommend solutions
  • Rockwell PLC fundamentals and troubleshooting of automated lines
  • Robotics fundamentals
  • Hydraulic troubleshooting/repair
  • Pneumatic troubleshooting/repair
  • Electrical troubleshooting/repair
  • Basic machine shop skills (hand filing drill press measuring grinding)

Qualifications requises

  • Un mcanicien de chantier dentretien / lectricien industriel agr ayant de lexprience en gestion des personnes sera galement pris en considration
  • Diplme dtudes collgiales prfr dans le domaine de llectricit ou de la mcanique industrielle

Exprience

  • Au moins 3 5 ans dexprience en supervision ou titulaire dun permis de mtiers spcialiss
  • Et/ou Minimum 2 ans dans un rle de leadership en maintenance.

  • Organisation et planification du travail
  • Gestion des entrepreneurs
  • Gestion des pices de rechange
  • Comprhension des exigences locales et fdrales (CSA ESA TSSA OSHA)
  • Comptence en GMAO
  • Examiner et prioriser les bons de travail les programmes de MP lanalyse des causes profondes et lamlioration continue
  • Coordonner avec lquipe de projet et dingnierie de CHEP les entrepreneurs externes et les fournisseurs
  • Capacit dexcuter des tches dentretien standard avec un minimum de supervision
  • Capacit dexcuter le travail de manire fiable selon les procdures oprationnelles normalises (PON)
  • Capacit danalyser les problmes dquipement et de recommander des solutions
  • Principes fondamentaux de Rockwell PLC et dpannage des lignes automatises
  • Principes fondamentaux de la robotique
  • Dpannage/rparation hydraulique
  • Dpannage/rparation pneumatique
  • Dpannage/rparation lectrique
  • Comptences de base en atelier dusinage (limage la main perceuse colonne mesure meulage)
