Youll be responsible for:

  • Guest Engagement: Welcoming families schools and rental groups into the space. Actively seek guest engagement answer questions and support parttime team members on the floor of the childrens museum.
  • Point of Sales and Cash Handling: Supporting the parttime team in daily cash handling procedures. Learning the POS system including generating invoices for party rentals and creating classes.
  • Team Support: Supporting parttime team members on the museum floor. Assisting with planning and presenting programs events like monthly programs in the Art Studio and STEM Lab. Being flexible and adapting to team and community needs in a positive way.
  • Party Rentals: Coordinate party rentals with applicants keep track of invoices insurance calendar of events and communicate to the team about events.
  • Code of Conduct: Helping to create and maintain a safe space utilizing the Librarys policies and Code of Conduct.
  • Positive Work Culture: Contributing to and playing a role in creating a healthy supportive workspace as outlined in the Rancho Cucamonga Public Library Team Culture guidelines.

ARE YOU QUALIFIED

Education and/or Experience:
Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelors degree in Library Science six units of college level technical library courses one year of library
experience or any combination of training and experience that provides the desired knowledge and abilities.


Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of the principles and practices of library work; the use of library indexes catalogs and simple reference sources. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the public especially children.
