You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThis position seeks to support an innovative program titled Mission Moon. This program works to provide youth with an immersive aerospace and STEM learning experience. This position will support the implementation and development of this program. In addition this position will provide mentoring to AmeriCorps Members and other staff working on implementing Mission Moon.
Schedule: Approximately 5 hours a week
Some weeks may have more hours and some would be less.
Position Start and End Dates: June 2nd 2025 August 8th 2025
The team will not be piloting the week of July 4th.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supporting the AmeriCorp Members in their service:
Be a Student Teaching supervisor
Offering advice on implementation
Working through lesson plans ahead of time with them to help with successful implementation
Meetings with the AmeriCorps Members will plan to meet virtually. Observing and supporting 23 Mission Moon pilots; more are welcome! This would include:
Day travel to the sites Travel is covered by the grant.
Reviewing Mission Moon curriculum documents.
Offering written comments for the team to review.
As time allows: Developing supplemental materials for the camps. Example: A paper student journal or slides to be used with the program. Things that you note may be missing from the program.
As time allows: Attending 1 or 2 Mission Moon Team meetings to meet virtually with the group and share your thoughts.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
