Job Description
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and of a comprehensive fundraising program to augment and amplify overall philanthropic support by appealing to increasingly sophisticated donors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships and communications with members of the Foundations Board of Trustees residents donors and volunteers.
- Prepare content and information for a variety of audiences and media to increase awareness and support of the organizations philanthropic programs and development activities.
- Ensure the timely production of an annual report and along with other fundraising/development collateral and communications.
- Provide expertise in reporting forecasting and achieving philanthropic targets projecting program expenditures preparing and managing a departmental budget and effectively presenting and representing information.
- Provide consultative and collaborative support to departmental leaders to enhance philanthropic opportunities.
- Provide management oversight of development personnel.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent project management time management and fiscal responsibility skills.
- Strong decisionmaking skills organizational skills ability to collaborate well with residents and family members attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Experience working at a senior leadership level.
- Energetic positive attitude flexible teamwork and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect cultivate and build relationships with new donors and prospects.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in philanthropic development preferably with experience in health care wellness aging services and/or senior living.
- Certified FundRaising Executive (CFRE) preferred.
