Job Description

The Vice President of Development and Donor Relations will be responsible for major gifts and annual fundraising campaigns WCBR Board relations nurturing and maintaining donor relationships and communicating and advancing programs contributing to the WCBR Foundations growth and organizational mission.

Responsibilities

    • Lead the creation and of a comprehensive fundraising program to augment and amplify overall philanthropic support by appealing to increasingly sophisticated donors.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships and communications with members of the Foundations Board of Trustees residents donors and volunteers.
    • Prepare content and information for a variety of audiences and media to increase awareness and support of the organizations philanthropic programs and development activities.
    • Ensure the timely production of an annual report and along with other fundraising/development collateral and communications.
    • Provide expertise in reporting forecasting and achieving philanthropic targets projecting program expenditures preparing and managing a departmental budget and effectively presenting and representing information.
    • Provide consultative and collaborative support to departmental leaders to enhance philanthropic opportunities.
    • Provide management oversight of development personnel.

Qualifications

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent project management time management and fiscal responsibility skills.
    • Strong decisionmaking skills organizational skills ability to collaborate well with residents and family members attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multitask.
    • Experience working at a senior leadership level.
    • Energetic positive attitude flexible teamwork and attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated ability to think strategically.
    • Demonstrated ability to prospect cultivate and build relationships with new donors and prospects.

Requirements

    • Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred.
    • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in philanthropic development preferably with experience in health care wellness aging services and/or senior living.
    • Certified FundRaising Executive (CFRE) preferred.
