Job Description

The City of Cedar Rapids Housing Services Division is seeking a compassionate and detailoriented Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Case Manager to join our dedicated team supporting lowincome families in securing and maintaining safe affordable housing. This impactful role involves determining eligibility for new and continuing HCV program participants guiding families through the Family SelfSufficiency Program and helping residents achieve longterm stability. About this Opportunity

Determines eligibility for new HCV program participants and continued eligibility at recertification for families on low income in need of housing assistance. Recruits and provides support for current HCV families for the Family Self Sufficiency Program to guide them to achieve their goals and build an escrow account through additional HUD grants.


Successful completion of a preemployment background check physical examination (if applicable) and drug screen are required prior to employment with the City of Cedar Rapids.The City of Cedar Rapids does not offer sponsorship for employment authorization.
