The opportunity
The Fire Safety and Property Continuity Manager works within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare with responsibility for ensuring the safety of the people we care for staff and visitors. This is achieved through developing implementing and maintaining fire safety systems and strategically managing Hammondcares plant and equipment. The role involves compliance with fire safety regulations conducting risk assessments and audits along with coordinating the development of emergency management plans tailored to the unique needs of HC services. Additionally the role is responsible for managing asset registers and the life cycle of Hammondcare plant and equipment utilising industry best practice initiatives.
This is a permanent full time role based at Cardiff.

Who are you
Cert IV in Work Health Safety (or similar) and Fire Protection Association Australia (FPAA) Accreditation.
Understanding and experience in applying of AS 3745:2010 (Planning for Emergencies in Facilities).
Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations.
Experience in fire safety management and emergency planning.
Ability to train and engage team in fire prevention strategies and emergency response.
Experience conducting fire safety audits and risk assessments.
Strong problemsolving skills attention to detail and leadership in crisis situations.
Strong communication skills written and verbal.
Able to use a wide range of IT applications and equipment.
Strong understanding of fire suppression systems alarm systems and passive fire protection.
Experience in aged/health care facility management or OHS roles (desirable)
Knowledge of disability and mobility considerations in emergency evacuations (desirable)
