Job Description

Base Salary: $247417 $267986 per annum total salary package (inclusive of clinical loading and 17 Superannuation)

Employment Terms: This is a fulltime continuing position with the University of Newcastle. The successful applicant may be offered secondary employment as a Clinical Academic with the CCLHD in addition to their primary employment with the University for which remuneration will be in accordance with the Clinical Academics Employed in the NSW Health Service Policy Directive.

As the Associate Professor of Psychiatry you will make a significant contribution to all activities of the School of Medicine and Public Health within the discipline.

About the school

This position will be based at the Central Coast Clinical School located on the grounds of the Gosford Hospital The Central Coast Local Health District has 2 acute hospitals (Gosford and Wyong) 1 subacute facility (Woy Woy) and an Urgent Care Centre at Long Jetty. Both Gosford and Wyong Hospitalshas recently undergone a major upgrade including newly established Safe Haven facilities at both sites. The Gosford precinct houses thethe stateoftheart research and education facility in which the Central Coast Clinical School and Research Institute is located.
