As an Associate Counsel IT Procurement you will serve as a legal partner and advisor to certain members of the Information Technology (IT) Procurement teams and Information Technology (IT) teams. The position reports to Director Central Procurement Counsel within the Global Quality and Operations (GQO) Legal team. This professional will partner with Strykers Indirect Procurement team members across the globe on a broad range of IT contracting matters including product agreements service agreements and license agreements with suppliers consultants and other third parties in which Stryker purchases services and supplies obtaining IT support. Additionally this professional partners with the IT business and functional units on a broad range of matters including legal and compliance issues consistent with laws regulations and Stryker policies.
What you will do:
Drafts and negotiates contracts as well as proactively handles various transactional matters related to areas of indirect IT procurement including service agreements product agreements statements of work nondisclosure agreements contract amendments and proactively handles various transactional matters related to areas of IT Procurement (including professional service agreements SoftwareAsAService (SAAS) agreements license agreements statements of work);
Acts as a legal business partner to Strykers Indirect IT Procurement and buying personnel across the globe to execute Strykers indirect procurement strategy;
Delivers accurate information and research regarding laws and regulations;
Responsible for a large number of issues prioritizing and delivering timely results;
Responsible for providing legal advice and making decisions related to legal matters which could have a large financial impact on the company including areas involving compliance with laws contracting litigation privacy and security and supplier relationships among others;
Collaborates and communicates with colleagues management and outside counsel; and
Assist on other matters in accordance with needs and priorities of the department.
What you need:
Required
Law degree
License to practice Law in the US states (any)
10 years of work experience
Preferred
Working experience in Indirect IT Procurement business including but not limited to the impact of other functions (regulatory manufacturing operations sales compliance etc..
Experience with contracting process and negotiation.
Experience in negotiating Professional Services Produce Agreements Telecom Hardware OnPremise Software and SoftwareAsAService (SAAS) contracts AI contracting experience a plus.
Experience working in matrix global organizations.
Experience working on projects with crossfunctional teams
Analytical and drafting skills including comfort in negotiating contract terms directly with suppliers and other third parties.
$salary plus bonus eligible benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills experience and other relevant factors.
