Job Summary The Director of Education and Prevention leads the organizations communityfocused education prevention and outreach efforts to raise awareness around domestic violence sexual and healthy relationships. This role provides strategic leadership in delivering traumainformed education across all age groups developing and managing an annual training calendar supervising the Youth Manager and cultivating strong community partnerships. The Director is responsible for coordinating and executing Camp HOPE an annual youth camp for children impacted by DV and SA and for implementing Pathways to HOPE a yearround program designed to support continued healing mentorship and youth empowerment between camp sessions. Key Responsibilities 1. Community Education Strategy and Program Development: - Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive community education and prevention strategy aligned with the organizations mission and responsive to community needs.
- Develop and maintain an annual training calendar that includes community workshops outreach events school presentations and professional development.
- Design and deliver culturally relevant traumainformed curricula that promote prevention healing and resilience in youth and adults.
- Monitor trends research and best practices to ensure all programming remains evidencebased and communityinformed.
2. Leadership and Team Supervision: - Supervise and mentor the Youth Manager guiding program development outreach and leadership opportunities for youth participants.
- Provide oversight and professional development for educators trainers and program coordinators.
- Foster an inclusive teamoriented environment that values innovation collaboration and ongoing learning.
- Align internal youth and adult education efforts for consistency and strategic impact.
3. Training Outreach and Community Engagement: - Facilitate and coordinate education and training sessions in schools community spaces and with organizational partners.
- Customize presentations and curriculum for various populations including parents educators youth and first responders.
- Build and sustain partnerships with community agencies schools and coalitions to amplify educational prevention.
- Represent the organization at public events panels and community initiatives.
4. Camp HOPE & Pathways to HOPE Coordination: - Plan coordinate and execute Camp HOPE an annual traumainformed youth camp serving children impacted by DV and SA.
- Lead efforts in camper recruitment staff training curriculum planning and logistics to ensure a safe healingcentered camp experience.
- Implement and oversee Pathways to HOPE the organizations yearround mentorship and engagement program providing monthly group activities leadership workshops and ongoing connection for youth participants.
- Collaborate with the Youth Manager and volunteers to sustain longterm support and growth for Camp HOPE alumni.
5. Program Evaluation and Impact Reporting: - Develop evaluation tools and processes to track outcomes across all education prevention and youth programs.
- Analyze feedback and participation data to assess program quality reach and effectiveness.
- Prepare regular reports and impact summaries for funders leadership and community stakeholders.
- Use evaluation findings to continuously improve programming and align with funding goals and strategic priorities.
6. Resource and Budget Management: - Manage budgets for community education Camp HOPE and Pathways to HOPE programs.
- Identify and pursue grant opportunities and donor support to sustain and grow youth and education initiatives.
- Coordinate the creation and distribution of materials supplies and resources that support traumainformed engaging programming.
Qualifications - Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g. social work psychology education public health).
- Proven experience in program development implementation and management preferably in the field of domestic violence or related areas.
- Strong knowledge of healthy relationship dynamics polyvictimization including child abuse mental health substance abuse vicarious trauma traumainformed care domestic and sexual violence prevention etc.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
- Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
- Commitment to social justice and the mission of the organization.
