Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering. (Mechanical Industrial or related field)
- 5 years of experience in a similar position required.
- Proficient in CAD software.
- Proficient in GD&T.
- Proficient with calipers and micrometers.
- Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery.
- Ability to respond quickly to unplanned situations. Ex: Machine breakdowns.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing principles practices and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design install or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
- Research and quote new equipment to meet customer requirements for new products.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies analyzing root causes and implementing solutions that optimize product yields reduce waste and improve throughput.
- Estimate costs production times or staffing requirements for new designs.
- Develops and maintains systems engineering documents and training for systems AJ Rose builds.
- Update and maintain plant layouts.
- Developing detailed layouts for equipment and products.
- Ensuring equipment is compliant with safety standards.
- Determine problem resolutions and implement improvements.
- Research the latest technology and manufacturing practices or identifies improvement to current processes and introduces into production.
- Supervise outside contractor work.
- Assist maintenance with troubleshooting plant equipment and limit downtime duration.
- Working closely with cross functional teams including program managers production and maintenance on new product launch.
