Job Description
Woodstock Union Middle/High Schoolhas an anticipated opening for a parttime French Teacher who can teach a 712 curriculum including various classes and ability levels from novice to advanced. In addition the candidate must be familiar with proficiencybased instruction and grading and create standardsbased units tied to the ACTFL World Readiness Standards for Learning Languages. The ideal candidate is also willing to help with our thriving international exchange and travel programs. We are looking for a colleague to join a highly collaborative department and to continue our practice of creating engaging lessons that make the process of learning a language inviting and lively.
What Were Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold or be eligibleto hold a Vermont Educator License with an appropriateworld language endorsement.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to equity diversity and inclusion in education.
- Possess excellent interpersonal communication time management and collaboration skills.
- Create a safe respectful and engaging learning environment tailored to students individual learning styles.
- Utilize datadriven decisionmaking to inform instruction and program development.
- Have expertise in integrating technology to support differentiated instruction.
- Understand the diverse needs of students and the impact of demographic factors on achievement.
- Be committed to continuous professional growth and innovative educational practices.
