Job Description

Everett High School Title III EL Summer Programming Site Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:

The EHS EL Department is seeking a Site Supervisor to plan and oversee the Summer English Learner Academy. The Site Supervisor will manage operational logistics hire and train staff coordinate field trips and oversee student registration. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills flexibility in responding to changing priorities and the ability to interact effectively with students families and staff.

WORKING TIMES:

  • Approximately 40 hours of preparation outside the instructional school day from April 2025 through June 2025.
  • Dates: July 7 2025 July 31 2025.
  • Required training dates: June 17 and June 18th 8 AM3:00 PM
  • Schedule: Monday Thursday 7:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m.

REMUNERATION: $40/hr total stipend up to a maximum of $6640 for 166 hours of work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage operational logistics (e.g. secure classrooms order supplies and coordinate training for food services).
  • Recruit select background recommend supervise and direct summer school staff.
  • Supervise the implementation of the district curriculum during the program and support the implementation of specific literacybased strategies.
  • Plan and organize field trips.
  • Attend training and work with teachers to implement new strategies.
  • Track summer program compensation and timesheets.
  • Oversee registration process rostering and grouping students based on needs and enrichment programs.
  • Establish and promote programming dates and offerings via multiple channels including social media and Family Liaisons.
  • Supervise Open Gym sessions once a week from 12:00 p.m. 1:00 p.m.
  • Coordinate facilities use transportation and custodial services.
  • Coordinate with the school nurse to plan for student health needs.
  • Communicate with families regarding student attendance and engagement.
  • Manage student behavior and collaborate with staff on socialemotional learning needs.
  • Ensure proper distribution of program materials and resources.
  • Manage coverage of the program as needed when teachers are absent.
  • Provide coverage of classrooms due to staff absences as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers to support students behavioral and other socialemotional learning needs.
  • Manage student attendance and behavior interventions.
  • Outreach to students and families as needed to ensure daily attendance of registered students.
  • Coordinate with food services to deliver breakfast and lunch to students.
  • Ensure orderly arrival and dismissal of students.
  • Work closely with the Principal Assistant Principals and EL Department Head to address any student or building concerns.
  • Communicate with teachers regularly on the progress of individual students.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Education and/or Liberal Arts
  • Massachusetts Teaching Licensure in Elementary Education Middle School Early Childhood Special Education English as a Second Language or related fields including Administrative Areas.
  • SEI Endorsement
  • Massachusetts Teaching License
  • Current EPS employee in good standing with at least 3 years of experience in a public school setting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters Degree in Education
  • 3 or more years of elementary or middle school teaching experience
  • Massachusetts Administrative License and/or progress toward CAGS certification
  • At least 1 year of administrative experience overseeing programmatic operations for studentserving programming
  • Previous experience working in Extended Learning programs after school before school summer learning Acceleration Academies tutoring etc.
  • Foreign Language Proficiency
  • Dual Licensure and/or relevant experience in Special Education and/or English as a Second Language
