Job Description

Saint Agnes School (InfantGrade 8 and Arlington Catholic High School 912 make up the Catholic School of Saint Agnes Parish (). We are seeking to fill a fulltime Learning Specialist in our Achievement Center on the Arlington Catholic mission of Arlington Catholics Achievement Center is to empower students by providing the skills resources and structure for them to achieve academic success. Guided by a learning specialist and using individualized and small group work we will focus on study skills and executive functioning allowing students to become more effective and efficient learners. We will focus on working collaboratively with students to develop strategies for learning studying testtaking and completing assignments. Requirements: A background in Special Education Ability to work collaboratively with students administrators guidance counselors parents and teachers Ability to develop positive student relationships while maintaining professional boundaries Skills to assess students learning needs and the flexibility to adapt to various needs Capability to aid students in developing and achieving individual learning ability to provide small group tutoring in math is highly desirable. Previous experience and a familiarity with the mission of Catholic schools preferred.
