Job Description
- Selected candidates with 2 years of experience may be eligible for a $10000 signon incentive if all qualifications are met including a minimum twoyear commitment. $5000 signon for candidates with less than 2 years of experience).Current UI employees are not eligible.
Responsible for respiratory therapy duties including oxygen and aerosol therapy administration of specialty gases application of ventilators arterial puncture blood gas analysis implement patient driven protocols and other duties as assigned.*Respiratory Therapists mustbe a graduate of a Commission of Accreditation Respiratory Care (CoARC) approved program.

Percent of Time: 60 WEO Saturday and Sunday Days.
Salary: Yearly Minimum $51829 for 100 time (competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends)

- Graduate of a two or four year AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program or completion of the requirements to become registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Possess a current State of Iowa Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Possess a current CPR certification card.
- Obtain registry from the National Board for Respiratory Care within six 6 months of date of hire.
Desired Qualifications:
- Greater than one year of recent ICU level experience.
- Experience with an electronic medical record documentation system.
- Currently registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
