Location: Vancouver BC Canada
Position: Permanent FullTime

SUMMARY

The Laboratory Technician will conduct accurate diagnostic specimen testing and reporting. This role demands meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality and efficiency to uphold high standards. The ideal candidate will possess robust laboratory skills and extensive experience across a broad spectrum of diagnostic and interpretive specimen analyses. Responsibilities include executing and troubleshooting a variety of diagnostic assays and other analytical tests. The role also involves processing and accurate sample labeling maintaining detailed documentation identifying discrepancies and nonconformities contributing to the development and implementation of corrective action plans escalating issues as necessary and promoting ongoing process enhancements.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct and troubleshoot diagnostic assays following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines.
  • Support new assay development using electrochemiluminescence multiarray ELISA xMAP beadbased technology and other immunoassay systems.
  • Manage clinical samples prepare reagents maintain laboratory inventories and perform equipment maintenance.
  • Provide technical support for product production troubleshooting.
  • Assist in experimental for product development and analysis.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies.
  • Identify and address nonconformities contributing to corrective action plans and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze data write reports and support manuscript preparation using statistical tools and graphic design software.
  • Manage equipment calibration service contracts and records.
  • Crosstrain in shipping and logistics as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma or . in medical laboratory sciences or biological sciences.
  • 5 years of experience in a medical industry or scientific lab setting.
  • Proficiency in highthroughput clinical assays including electrochemiluminescence ELISA and xMAP technologies. Familiarity with Luminex and MSD platforms required.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to laboratory protocols.
  • Analytical troubleshooting and technical writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problemsolving ability with sound judgment for escalation.
  • Strong initiative time management and organizational skills.
  • Teamoriented with a positive attitude.
  • Adaptability to dynamic environments focused on growth and change.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • GLP/GMP experience is an asset.
  • WHMIS certification required.
