Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)(Candidate Pool 2526
Reports to: Assistant Director of Assessment & Related Services

Primary Purpose:
Plan and provide speechlanguage pathology services to students with speech voice or language
disorders. Assess students and provide therapeutic intervention to eliminate or reduce problems or
impairments that interfere with their students ability to derive full benefit from the educational program.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master s degree in speechlanguage pathology from an accredited college or university
Valid Texas license as a speechlanguage pathologist granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
or
Bachelors degree
Valid Texas Education Agency speech therapy certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Experience:
One year supervised clinical speechlanguage pathology experience preferred (Clinical Fellows/SLP Interns are welcome to apply)

The employee may spend long hours in intense concentration which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy. There are a number of deadlines associated with this position which may cause significant stress. The employee must also deal with a wide variety of people on various issues.
