Role overview
We are seeking a forwardthinking Capital Actuary to join our Finance team within Hastings. In this position you will lead the development of our Solvency UK group internal model ensuring robust capital management and regulatory compliance while driving innovation through advanced modelling techniques.
Job details youll need to have demonstrable experience in:
Drive the design development and implementation of the groups internal capital model
Coordinate the validation processes to ensure model reliability accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
Provide technical guidance on capital modelling to senior management
Translate complex modelling outputs into actionable business insights for strategic decisionmaking
Collaborate with risk management finance and underwriting teams to ensure integrated approach to capital management
Stay at the forefront of actuarial modelling developments implementing best practices and innovative approaches
Manage a capital modelling team fostering technical excellence and professional growth
Essential skills we would love you to have:
Solid experience in capital modelling
Demonstrable experience in internal model development within regulatory authorities ideally Insurance
Good understanding of Solvency II requirements and internal model approval processes
Proficiency in modern capital modelling software e.g. ReMetrica Igloo Tyche
Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret and communicate complex modelling results
Knowledge of emerging technologies in actuarial science and their practical applications
