We are seeking a skilled Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to lead and handle a high performing team at OpenTable. This role entails organizing the AP team implementing process improvements ensuring adherence and achieving success through clear communication and thoughtful mentorship. Employees are expected to maintain an inoffice presence for at least two days per week at the discretion of the CFO.

In this role you will:

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and guide the AP team maintaining high performance standards.
  • Regularly assess team structure to ensure adequate resources and efficient output.
  • Set clear deliverables for team members ensuring accountability.
  • Conduct performance checkins to review progress and discuss career development.
  • Ensure comprehensive training for new hires and supervise progress in collaboration with trainers.
  • Provide ongoing constructive feedback to improve team efficiency.
  • Validate the accuracy of reports and communications before sharing with other teams and partners.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Document and improve AP processes identifying potential points of failure.
  • Monitor process implementation and ensure compliance within the team.
  • Maintain knowledge of SOX controls ensuring the team receives annual training.
  • Proactively test processes to ensure compliance and maintain documentation.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and crossfunctional teams to improve controls.
  • Develop and report on a 61218 month strategic plan for the team reporting progress through objectives and key results/important metrics.
  • Supervise the successful implementation of the invoice ingestion tool ensuring collaboration with the vendor and ES team.

Communication & Organization

  • Communicate updates on key results and issues impacting financial performance.
  • Tailor communication to different partners based on their needs.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills to lead tasks effectively and ensure timely followup.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align business needs with AP processes while ensuring SOX compliance.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and standard methodologies to cultivate innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with laws regulations and internal policies.
  • Display resilience under pressure and handle deadlines optimally.
  • Use proactive problemsolving to get results with good judgment.

Please apply if:

  • 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable management role including experience leading remote teams.
  • Solid understanding of AP processes financial controls and SOX compliance.
  • Shown leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Proactive resultsdriven approach with strong decisionmaking abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and a dedication to applying standard methodologies.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Accounting Finance or a related field preferred.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range including but not limited to external market benchmark data geographic location and years of experience sought/required. The range for this Canada located role is $97000 $107000 CAD.

In addition to a competitive base salary roles are eligible for additional compensation and benefits including: annual cash bonus; health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; paid time off (including PTO paid sick leave medical leave bereavement leave floating holidays and paid holidays); and parental leave and benefits.
