Position:Resident Council Secretary
Commitment:1 meeting per month other miscellaneous meetings and events as interested.
Purpose:A volunteer residentdriven organization that seeks to enhance the living experience of all CHNW residents. The vision of the resident council is fulfilled via:
- Receiving continual feedback from residents
- Building community via facilitating programming
- Representing student voice via advising the CHNW board of directors and organization
- Advocacy for changes and ideas
Secretary Duties:
- Accurately take notes at each meeting following the Resident Council meeting minutes format.
- Upload notes to the Resident Council site within 4 days of the meeting.
- Highlight action items and member responsibilities (emphasizing timelines and deadlines).
- Disseminate meeting notes to CHNW staff to share with the larger resident community.
General Council Expectations:
- Conduct yourself in alignment with the community standards that match your lease agreement
- Collaborate with the CHNW community including community assistants management and board members to provide feedback
- Communicate in advance any absence from council meetings noting that more than two absences (outside of extenuating circumstances) will result in dismissal from the resident council
- Be a steward of the organization representing CHNWs mission and history
*CHNW Staff as advisors to the Resident Council have full autonomy to remove members from the council if the above expectations are not met.
