Birminghams Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) are looking for outstanding people to join the workforce to deliver highquality SEND information and advice to children young people and their families as part of the councils longterm commitment to improving the lives of children in Birmingham.
As the SENDIASS Lead you will be responsible for overseeing the SENDIASS service in Birmingham which is a statutory service that works at arms length from the local authority. Building relationships and working to an empowerment model; you will lead a team of 2 SENDIASS Managers and 8 SENDIASS Officers ensuring that families young people and professionals receive highquality impartial information advice and support related to SEND issues. Your role will involve strategic planning service development and maintaining strong partnerships with the local authority schools health social care and other relevant organisations.
