Job Description
Job Role: Trainee Transportation
Location: Palakkad
Internship period: 4 months (Upon the successful completion of internship based on your performance full time employment will be considered)
Job Description:
As a Trainee you will be an essential member of our transportation team responsible for learning and assisting in various aspects of operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in transportation and logistics. You will undergo comprehensive training to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in this dynamic field.
Responsibilities:
1. Learn and understand company policies procedures and regulations related to transportation operations.
2. Assist in coordinating transportation activities including scheduling shipments tracking deliveries and ensuring timely arrivals.
3. Gain handson experience in using transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software to organize and manage transportation logistics.
4. Assist in monitoring transportation performance metrics such as ontime delivery rates and identify areas for improvement.
Qualification:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in transportation or logistics is a plus.
2. Basic computer proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
3. Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
