Primary Purpose:
To provide for the delivery of technical assistance training and staff development in the design and development implementation and evaluation of activities that address the unique needs of the Local Education Agencies (LEAs). Connect students schools and industries in the northwest Panhandle to drive economic growth and community resiliency.
This position is a hybrid position and requires travel around our region.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification
- Texas Teacher certification required
- Texas CTE certificationpreferred
- Texas principal certification and successful building principal experience preferred
- Masters degree required
Skills
- CTE program leadership required
- Strong CCMR experience preferred
- Classroom teaching experience required
- Staff development experience preferred

Working Conditions:
- Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead the Northwest Panhandle Innovation Zone (NPIZ)
- Recruit students and manage the pathway sharing across the districts
- Oversees and reports on the progress of the work and pathways to multiple stakeholders including school boards families students and counselors
- Manage data tracking information for each pathway
- Identify and implement evaluation tools gather and interpret data and create reports based on information generated from participants and supervisors
- Foster partnerships between school districts higher education institutions and industry
- Work with local industry to create workbased learning opportunities
- Advance the mission and purpose of the NPIZ
- Collaborate with Empower Schools to develop a replicable successful model of a rural school innovation zone
- Advise on the scaling of the work to other districts in the Northwest Panhandle and other rural regions in the Panhandle
- Work with Technical Assistance to implement scaling efforts
- Leads LEAs in a comprehensive CTE program analysis
- Provides customized professional development deemed necessary and appropriate through analysis of the CTE program
- Collaborates and plans with the Regional Convener to implement strategic goals for effective education and career planning
- Collaborates consistently with the Region 16 CTE/CCMR Lead
- Maintains communication and networking among LEAs Workforce Development Boards Colleges Universities and other community organizations to improve student performance through CTE goals and objectives
- Assists districts in meeting the requirements of the TRPN Cohort 5 grant
- Assists district leadership campus leadership counselors and CTE teachers in improving student performance
- Reinforces academic and career and technical education integration and provides leadership to district leadership campus leadership and CTE teachers to promote best practices and resources to guide the promotion of quality local programs.
- Travels as a part of job responsibilities
- Maintains a functioning cell phone and is accessible through this phone as deemed appropriate by the director. A functioning cell phone means that it is charged activated messages checked and mailbox emptied regularly

- Supports the mission goals and objectives of the ESC strategic plan

- Meets proficiency levels of required technology skills as outlined by supervisor
- Incorporates appropriate technology in daily work and exhibits continual growth in technologies as outlined by supervisor
