At AbhiBus were redefining how mobile apps are built blending deep engineering expertise with the power of AIaugmented on the lookout for a Lead Software Engineer II Android with 1012 years of experience to help drive innovation system architecture and delivery of enterprisegrade mobile applications. This is a technical leadership role not a people management role for engineers who are still deeply handson but are also able to mentor unblock and inspire others.
Youll collaborate across teams and tech stacks leveraging tools like GitHub Copilot ChatGPT Cursor/Windsurf and contributing to crossplatform evolution with KMM and Jetpack Compose Multiplatform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of highquality scalable Android applications
- Drive adoption of modern Kotlin paradigms Coroutines Flow etc.
- Write clean testable and modular code using Jetpack Compose and Android Architecture Components
- Collaborate across engineering design and product teams to deliver complex features endtoend
- Actively leverage AI tools (Copilot ChatGPT Cursor/Windsurf) to supercharge productivity
- Guide architecture decisions debug tricky issues and drive performance improvements
- Champion modern DevOps and CI/CD practices for continuous delivery
- Mentor junior and midlevel developers helping them grow in autonomy and technical excellence
- Stay current with emerging technologies and frameworks and drive adoption of those relevant to our needs
- Be adaptable ready to learn and apply new tools platforms or languages as needed
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 1012 years of Android development experience
- Expertise in Kotlin and Android SDKs
- Strong understanding of Kotlin Coroutines Flow and Jetpack Libraries: Compose Room WorkManager Navigation
- Proficient with Retrofit RESTful APIs HILT/Dagger and Firebase services
- Familiar with unit testing (JUnit) and UI testing (Espresso)
- Strong debugging architecture and app profiling skills
- Experience working in Agile Gitbased environments
- Ability to own and drive features from design to production
Nice to Have
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMM)
- Handson with Jetpack Compose Multiplatform
- Exposure to Flutter or other crossplatform frameworks
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions Bitrise Firebase App Distribution
- Interest in mobile observability analytics and crash reporting
- Experience with mobile security best practices
