At RESPEC an Associate GIS Consultant is a independent contributor responsible for geospatial data management analysis and cartography. You have applicable experience with ArcGIS Online and/or ArcGIS Enterprise to develop Esri WebApps and deploy feature services. As an Associate GIS Consultant you will support RESPECs Data & Technology Services business units GIS team and their work in New Mexico.. Most projects are performed using the Esri Suite of geospatial tools; however our team occasionally works with opensource tools and frameworks.

- You are comfortable speaking directly with clients gathering requirements preparing and leading demonstrations as necessary.
- You want to be part of a team that manages the entire lifecycle of GIS projects or tasks (including dataset design and development as well as analysis using vector and raster datasets) and are wellversed in leveraging the vast tools and data available to accomplish these tasks.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Support enterprise geodata management including metadata management feature deprecation and deletion.
- Supports building out feature data and publishing for consumption in ArcGIS Online and/or Enterprise Portal
- Familiarity with Esri App configuration such Experience Builder
- Cartography skills and an eye for drafting maps that effectively convey necessary information
- Provides clear and concise status on scrum calls and as requested in other status reporting formats
- Experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL/PostGIS Oracle Database or SQL Server) including general SQL experience to support Enterprise Geodatabase management
- Writes and reviews design documentation
- Provide task estimates on assigned work
- Possess strong collaboration skills
- In a fastmoving environment the Associate GIS Consultant can learn new technologies and concepts with the ability to apply them quickly
Qualifications :
- Bachelor of arts or Bachelor of Science degree in GIS geography or equivalent educational background and experience
- A minimum of 3 years direct experience in GIS analysis and/or as a GIS analyst
- Esri Suite including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
- Spatial analysis and knowledge with demonstrated experience in conducting complex vector and raster analysis
- Understanding of opensource GIS tools and software to solve spatial problems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise including server manager resource optimization etc.
- Experience work government agencies and government policies
- Experience in applying GIS skills to engineering subject matter
- Familiarity with integration of geospatial data into web application development
