Job Description

The Receiving Inspection Associate is a key member of our Operations team. This team member is responsible for supporting our procurement quality and customer service activities by diligently executing the TMC receiving inspection process which ensures that all incoming inventory meets the companys manufacturing and quality standards while adhering to FDA guidelines and governance in the medical device industry. This team member is responsible for reviewing all manufacturing documentation such as material certificates postprocessing certificates and inspection data as well as reviewing lot numbers creating inventory labels and transferring inventory in the Companys ERP system. They also ensure that part counts and visual and dimensional inspections are thoroughly evaluated for accuracy. Other support tasks may also be required.

What you will be doing in the role:

  • Thorough review and inspection of all receiving documentation (packaging components labels and finished goods etc. to ensure all product meets the stringent quality requirements of a medical device company.
  • Follow procedures and work instructions and give feedback for improvement.
  • Identify product nonconformances to Company requirements and take appropriate steps to resolve.
  • Inspect mechanical parts using microscope and surface plate set ups using standard inspection tools like Micrometers Calipers Height Gauges Bore gauges and various other measuring tools.
  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain information needed to complete tasks or resolve issues.
  • Assists with scheduling component shipments to suppliers and finished goods to customers.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma required; AA or BS preferred.
  • Minimum of oneyear related work experience 
  • Must be able to lift 20lbs
