Responsibilities
Be prepared to conduct I9 eVerification meetings via Teams or InPerson with Chapman Student new hires. The amount of I9 intakes ranges from 1 to 20 per day depending on hiring cycles. Collect and verify various hiring and personnelrelated documentation. Assist with customer guidance for personnel documentation questions during and after intake sessions. Conduct timely background checks. Followup with new hires before during and after the I9 processes to ensure all documentation is complete. Use Chapmans email SMS and Microsoft tools to communicate and follow up. Enter the updated status of each case in PeopleAdmin and help prepare Hiring Proposals. Research information for new hires including prior employment status with Chapman applicable school units federal workstudy amounts and more. Learn Microsoft Bookings software for calendaring. When necessary communicate daily sometimes hourly with teammates in Talent Acquisition HRIS Payroll and other departments. Help with research and data projects using Excel and Word when available Help with documentation projects using Word PowerPoint Snipping tools etc. Assist with Community Service and Talent Acquisition related functions as needed.
Required Qualifications
Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
