Looking to take the next step in your career Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Structural Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Brisbane.
PDG helps clients reach their business goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. We ensure worldclass project delivery through the skills of our people methodologies governance and systems. Our engineering and project management and construction disciplines ensure safe efficient and sustainable delivery of projects globally across the metals and mining infrastructure and energy sectors.

As the successful candidate you will:
- Lead the structural discipline in executing projects that range from prefeasibility to phase
- Interface with clients on technical matters
- Provide structural engineering analysis and design
- Plan and managing engineering activities using Engineering Work Packages
- Prepare engineering calculations technical specifications and scopes of work
- Prepare Material Take Offs/Bill of Quantities
- Review and check engineering drawings
- Provide input to engineering operating and cost estimates
- Participate in and contribute to design reviews
You bring to the role:
- A degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution
- Demonstrated design experience
- Experience with structural design software such as SpaceGass Strand7 and StaadPro
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry and/or regulatory standards relating to structural engineering) including Australian codes and standards
- Previous structural engineering experience within the infrastructure industrial and mining sectors
- Leadership experience or ability to demonstrate potential in this area
- Applicants with RPEQ and CPEng will be well regarded
