Job Summary
Provide AFGSC/A6 Barksdale AFB LA with essential expertise and capabilities to ensure AFGSC responsibilities are met.
Responsibilities:
Assist in supporting the development testing fielding and sustainment of various enterprise networks and command and control systems.
These programs include the Enterprise Land Mobile Radio (ELMR) Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) integration Federal Data Center Consolidation Initiative (FDCCI) Installation Processing Node (IPN) Pathfinder AFGSC enterprise data storage solution and various other telecommunications networks.
Assist with planning controlling analyzing and documenting enterprise networks for the HQ AFGSC/A6 staff.
Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) assistance in staff action support.
Conduct training and provide assistance to contractor military or government civilian staff to raise the level of proficiency and effectiveness.
Conduct and attending conferences and meetings.
Provide deliverables in a format mutually agreed upon by the government and the contractor. Compile inputs and deliverables associated with action items and milestones and post status on the Commands information management system e.g. SharePoint as directed by the government.
Tracking and report status of project milestones and action items.
Assist military personnel in modernizing the enterprise adding new IT services and applications or adopting managed services. Will assess the requirements plan a solution address security and implement the installation on time and within budget.
Education Requirements Work Experience and Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 6 years of experience managing a mixture of voice/video/data transmission systems; OR possess a BS degree in computers systems network engineering or related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum 3 years of experience managing a mixture of voice/video/data transmission systems
Require current IT certifications for technical areas (CCNA Security or equivalent certification in assigned applications and technologies)
2 Years of Experience:
As a DOD base IT technician
As a Project Manager
With a mixture of Air Force IT infrastructure support & acquisition/management processes
Be able to effectively communicate orally and articulate in writing technical information with personnel at all levels
Have strong analytical skills detail orientation and follow through
Have the ability to develop and maintain interpersonal relationships
Be able to work in a team environment and independently with limited supervision.
Have familiarity with Air Force Information Assurance principles.
Possess ability to provide network system engineering and implementation.
Expertise in the maintenance and modernization of network infrastructure.
Possess an understanding of network virtualization methods and procedures.
Be proficient in voice network capabilities and technologies e.g. Call Manager
Voice Gateways and ancillary equipment.
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance
Physical Requirements:
This position primarily consists of working indoors in an office environment. In the course of the employees duties he/she may travel to customer sites to perform essential job duties. Travel Requirements:
Travel may be required based on business goals and objectives but is expected to be less than 10.
NonDisclosure Agreement:
This policy is stated in the Employee Handbook which will be supplied during the first month of employment. All employees of Webhead will be required to sign and adhere to this agreement.
