Job Description:
As a Toddler Teacher 2 3 years old) you play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for children aged one to three years old. Your primary responsibility is to create a safe and stimulating atmosphere that promotes the social emotional and cognitive development of toddlers. You will plan and implement ageappropriate activities foster positive relationships with parents and ensure the overall wellbeing of the children in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Development:
Develop and implement a developmentallyappropriate curriculum that supports the individual needs of toddlers.
Plan daily activities that promote language development motor skills socialization and cognitive growth.
2. Classroom Management:
Create a safe clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective communication.
3. Individualized Learning:
Recognize and respond to the unique needs and abilities of each toddler.
Differentiate instruction to accommodate various learning styles and developmental stages.
4. Parent Communication:
Establish and maintain open and regular communication with parents regarding their childs progress activities and any concerns.
Conduct parentteacher conferences to discuss developmental milestones and address individual needs.
5. Health and Safety:
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of toddlers by adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Administer basic first aid when necessary and communicate effectively with parents about any healthrelated concerns.
6. Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Participate in staff meetings professional development and training sessions.
7. Documentation and Assessment:
Keep accurate records of each childs development and progress.
Conduct assessments to track developmental milestones and share findings with parents.
8. Professional Development:
Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education.
Pursue opportunities for professional development to enhance teaching skills.
Qualifications:
Relevant experience working with toddlers in an educational setting.
High School Diploma/ GED or higher
CPR and first aid certification inperson)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience flexibility and a genuine love for working with young children.
