Make an impact at Serco
As an Aboriginal Language Teacher in the Rehabilitation and Reintegration team youll make a positive impact by:
- Facilitating language experiences in a culturally sensitive way to enhance the wellbeing of students.
- Delivering scheduled training and education in accordance with the prisons core day.
- Designing planning delivering and evaluating education programs for prisoners.
- Managing the administrative functions and requirements of the role in a timely and accurate manner.
- Actively participating in operational meetings including Education and RTO meetings.
- Developing updating and managing student education resources within relevant security requirements of the center.

To be successful in this role youll have:
- Experience in teaching language to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people enhancing their wellbeing.
- Strong ability to use Microsoft Office Email Word and other student data systems.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well within a team and the wider organization.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with varied stakeholders.
- A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
- The ability to meet and exceed quality standards in a secure environment.
