Make an impact at Serco
As an Aboriginal Language Teacher in the Rehabilitation and Reintegration team youll make a positive impact by:

  • Facilitating language experiences in a culturally sensitive way to enhance the wellbeing of students.
  • Delivering scheduled training and education in accordance with the prisons core day.
  • Designing planning delivering and evaluating education programs for prisoners.
  • Managing the administrative functions and requirements of the role in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Actively participating in operational meetings including Education and RTO meetings.
  • Developing updating and managing student education resources within relevant security requirements of the center.

  • Experience in teaching language to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people enhancing their wellbeing.
  • Strong ability to use Microsoft Office Email Word and other student data systems.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well within a team and the wider organization.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with varied stakeholders.
  • A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to meet and exceed quality standards in a secure environment.
