Saint Stephens College is currently looking for a Maintenance Labourer to assist with the upkeep cleanliness and functionality of our campus.
This role involves performing general cleaning waste removal grounds maintenance and minor repairs such as fixing leaks and replacing light bulbs. The person will support skilled team members with maintenance tasks will assist with loading/unloading supplies and will maintain tools and equipment. Additionally you will help with painting and decorating inspecting facilities and reporting issues to supervisors. Our team also assists with event setups and packdowns.
This position is ideal for someone who is physically fit who thrives in a handson environment and is ready to support a dynamic highly skilled maintenance team who play a key role in maintaining repairing and improving the Colleges buildings and infrastructure. Basic tool proficiency attention to detail and good communication skills are essential.
The role may involve working indoors and outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions so flexibility adaptability and responsiveness as well as an ongoing commitment to safety must be upheld. Furthermore changes to work roster are sometimes required from time to time due to the cyclical nature of the College changing priorities and weather/climate unforeseen events that cant be planned for.
